Dr. Nelson Valentin, OMD, Lic. Acupuncturist

Dr. Nelson Valentin, pronounced < val – en – teen >, has been an Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2005.  During that time, he has dedicated his life to helping his community improve their health and way of life using natural medicine.  First at the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and then he concluded his training at East West College of Natural Medicine before exploring China, Japan and South Korean styles of Asian medicine while visiting those countries.  

He holds a Bachelors in Natural Health Science, a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Acupuncture. Formerly licensed Acupuncture Physician in Florida, he now holds an East Asian Medical Practitioner’s license in Washington state since 2010.  

Dr. Nelson interned under Chinese American masters of acupuncture such as Dr. Ku, Dr. Hai He Tian, and Dr. Er Jiang Li to name a few.  He combines multiple acupuncture theories he learned from his travels across Asia as well, which include acupuncture, herbal medicine, mindful breathing, therapeutic exercise and nutritional coaching.  Dr. Nelson specializes in Infertility, Women’s Health and Pediatrics, and has helped with everything from asthma and weight loss to back pain and sports injury.  Other conditions he helped are:

Neurological disorders such as post stroke, AVM headaches, high blood pressure and neuropathy pain;

Gastrointestinal Disorders, such as food allergies, peptic ulcer, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion and anorexia;

Urogenital Disorders, including stress incontinence, urinary tract infections, and sexual dysfunction;

Gynecological Disorders, such as irregular, heavy, or painful menstruation, endometriosis, infertility in women & men;

Respiratory Disorders, such as Long COVID symptoms, emphysema, sinusitis, asthma, allergies and bronchitis;

Disorders of the Bones, Muscles, and Joints such as arthritis, back, neck, shoulder pain and carpal tunnel syndrome;

Circulatory Disorders, such as hypertension, angina pectoris, arteriosclerosis and anemia;

Emotional and Psychological Disorders, including depression and anxiety

Addictions, such as alcohol, nicotine and drugs;

Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders, such as rhinitis, weak vision and laryngitis;

Supportive Therapy for other chronic disorders or pre-surgical and post-procedural care;

Life Changes, such as menopause, pregnancy support, and weight loss.

NELSON TEACHES TWO CLASSES WITH PERSONALIZED SUPPORT:

Baby Lotus; is an infant massage class focused on improving sleep, digestion and connection between parent and infant using Tuina (acupressure, reflexology and shiatsu) and play.

The Weight Loss Protocol; is a class or ‘Medical Protocol’ designed to focus on bad eating habits. Originally designed for Olympic athletes, these guidelines are meant to help with the lifestyle change and education needed to learn how to lose weight, what prevents us from losing weight and how to maintain that weight … FOREVER!
